We've been primed to expect a real living tarot, a risqué performance, roller skates, a rock opera and more - dare we enter? Hell yeah! In this highly candid interview Marisa tells us about Tarot and what they mean to her. She shares with us one of the key inspirations - the film maker Alejandro Jodorowsky and his use of psychomagic. Carnesky’s Tarot Drome awaits you! You shuffle the deck by wandering through the dark subterranean recesses of The Old Vic Tunnels beneath Waterloo Station. Spectacular and surreal, veiled in mystery, shrouded in magic you choose your own unique performance experience. This new large scale show sees Olivier Award winning performance artist Marisa Carnesky leading an extraordinary cast of ten cross disciplined performers stretching from contortionists to roller girls to rock and roll stars. This is a dreamlike journey taking you through giant penny arcades where slot machines and laughing police-men have been replaced by life-size characterisations from the major arcana of the Tarot Deck. You will attend a bizarre lecture where you learn that your hold on the present might not be what you thought it was. Your future is delivered to you in the form of a rock opera on skates.

Tarot Drome is not merely a night out at the theatre but a disorientating montage of art and performance, music and silence, symbols and kitsch which is not to be missed or forgotten for a long time indeed.
