Final Call for DX Supported - Lewisham-Based Black and POC Artists deadline (5 June 2022)
It’s your final chance to apply for DX Supported - an open call for Lewisham-based Black and people of colour artists to realise a project during the Deptford X Festival taking place between 16th - 25th September.
The call is for work of any kind and for people working both as individuals and in groups. The longlist of applications will be reviewed by a guest panel who will then provide mentorship for Supported artists to help develop their projects. We’re excited to have a guest panel made up of incredible artists and art practitioners including Karl Ohiri, Phoebe Collings-James, Funmi Adewole Elliott, Annis Harrison, and Jason W H Page. Supported artists will also receive both financial and curatorial support from the festival. Previous cohorts include Davinia-Ann Robinson (pictured above), Ikra Arshad, George Boros, Tyreis Holder, and Nkechinyere Nwobani-Akanwo, who’ve all gone on to do incredible things.
The deadline for the Supported open call has been extended to Sunday 5th June at 11pm. Simply head to the ‘Become a Supported artist’ page on our website to download the application form.
Please contact jessica@deptfordx.org if you have questions about the application process. We can’t wait to read about your projects!
