Personal Brief
From London, made in Istanbul.
Artists on your radar, shout them out!
Anya Hindmarch, Modern Toss, Dale Chihuly and Osman Hamdi Bey. Eclectic I must admit.
Which is your number one location - and what's it best for?
For a luxurious feeling, I pop into The Wallace Collection, peruse their collections and admire the silk wallpaper. For summer vibes it has to be Frank’s rooftop at Peckham and I can’t really beat a good Turkish at Haringey Lanes.
'Getting creative', what's it all about?
Getting into a studio and screen printing. Nothing like forgetting everything else in the world and focusing on checking every print that comes out.
Or otherwise heading over to new exhibitions anywhere and being flooded with engaging, interesting and thought-provoking pieces.
Create out and absorb in.
Your Life, Right Now - what's the soundtrack?
I won’t lie, I do love me a bit of BBC Radio 1. Have always been a big pop fan and I don’t think this is going to change any time soon. But at night, when no one is watching, I turn on Synthwave.
What is your idea of a jolly good time?
Take me to a disco and play me Madonna all night long.
What happened the last time you were a complete disgrace?
One must disgrace themselves little and often. It keeps one’s feet on the ground.
