The Magic Lantern
The Magic Lantern is the moniker of London based musician Jamie Doe. Jamie started writing songs and performing under the name Magic Lantern. The Magic Lantern became a quintet with the addition of Fred Thomas on percussion, Dave Shulman on clarinets, Lucy Railton on cello and Phil Stevenson on electric guitar. Coming from diverse musical backgrounds, the band evolved a unique, transporting sound inspired by the immediacy of folk and a shared love of improvised music, articulated by Fred’s adventurous arrangements of Jamie’s songs.

Sunsinger
Sunsinger is Simon Gutteridge - a singer-songwriter from the Luton area, now based in Bedford. Dealing in acousticy-pop-folk-americana type stuff, his songs are widely considered to be most excellent. With a studio EP, a BBC 3 Counties Live Session a healthy amount of gigs under his belt under the moniker Kid Charlemagne, he is looking to snowball with other musicians and get another project underway.
Now under his own name and Sunsinger, the songs, old and new, are still there, and are being played again. A disciple of Dylan, a believer of Buckley, and, fast running out of alliterations, a general fan of folk, his only aim is to lightly drizzle pleasant melodies unto your ears. Foot-tapping ditties and wistful laments is what he deals in. Please feel free to go and whet your lugholes and download some stuff from his output so far:
