Personal Brief

I love exploring science and studying natural systems. I'm also a real tech freak interested in how new technologies are shaping our experiences of the world. I love telling stories, inventing new dishes and flavours, ambling around Art galleries, sailing the seven seas, cycling and venturing off on adventures in the wilds. I often feel like an endangered species. I spend my days making plans to sail around the world.

Artists on your radar, shout them out!

I'm totally enamoured with Angelika Houtkamp and dreaming of getting one of her kitsch martime pin up tattoos...

Which is your number one location - and what's it best for?

My favourite spot is on the Thames just outside Battersea power station. I live on the river. I don't think I could live anywhere else in London. The light you get from being on the open river is fantastic.

'Getting creative', what's it all about?

Living from the heart. Expressing your own view of your world. An interpretation or metaphor. Looking a something with fresh eyes or creating a different view. it is forming a relationship with all that is around you.

Your Life, Right Now - what's the soundtrack?

Serafina steer, Alt-J, Phantogram, Broken Bells.... I've just discovered Bordel de Mer a French Canadian radio station dedicated to songs of the sea. I'm attempting to learn as many sea shanties and folks songs as I can right now.

What is your idea of a jolly good time?

A dance track to die for in the woods. Night time boat rides by candle light. Sailing to distant shores. Feasting with Friends. Gorging on dark chocolate.

What happened the last time you were a complete disgrace?

Depending on who you are you will find me elegantly graceful or utterley disgraceful. It's all a matter of taste.
