The party that puts on all the fun of a festival in just one night is back- and this time it's out of this world.
These are the voyages of the Starship Rumpus. Its continuing mission: to explore strange new worlds, to seek out new life and civilisations, and to boldly go where no Creature has gone before.
On April 5th, Rumpus steps off this God-forsaken piece of rock, and invites you to celebrate the Alien and the Robotic in a retropostneofuturistic explosion of party, like this planet has never seen before! Are you a cardbox robot? A grey-skinned Area 51 autopsy victim? Do your race communicate entirely by sneezing? Have you been programmed to excommunicate? Are you here to study, dissect, hunt or mate?
Joining us on this special mission are representatives from Bugzi, who design and build motorized wheelchairs for under 5s, so they have the freedom and opportunity to interact with their world. Rumpus are working with the charity MERU to raise £5000, the cost of building and supplying one wheelchair. Please consider buying a Bugzi Solidarity Ticket for the event for an extra £1 – the money goes straight to Bugzi, and hopefully we can help one more child to explore their world!
And, for those of you wanting to bring Rumpus back into your homes, you have two choices: lure Santi and Stef back to your place with tempting promises of a nice Sunday Roast, or get yourself a copy of the Rumpus Super Quantum Compilation of Doom, out on iTunes on March 31st! For a sneak peak, check it out here.
