- See you at St. Bartholomew’s Hospital Pathology Museum
Forget carving out a pumpkin this Halloween- try shrinking a head.
All Souls Day - November 2nd 2013 - sees a new Halloween craft brought to London as The Robin Collective bring a little tribal magic to the eerily amazing Barts Pathology Museum: Make your own shrunken head.
Over a few hours, ticketholders will learn a little about this mysterious process and create their own trophy of war (with display stand) to take home. Not wanting to favour one culture's magical traditions too heavily, participants will also have the chance to make their own voodoo dolls.
The class will be of an informal nature with visitors encouraged to bring their own beads, chicken bones etc to decorate their shrunken head. Every participant will also receive one complimentary witch doctor's cocktail, 'The Drunken Head' – containing evil spirit-busting herbs.
More drinks will be available from a specially created bar, throughout the experience, and visitors are welcome to look around this unique Victorian collection, taking inspiration from some other pickled body parts.
