BBC Radio 4's Viv Groskop presents The Night I Died, a celebration of the joys and horrors of live performance.
Organised by Suzanne Azzopardi of Literary Death Match fame, The Night I Died is testament to the fact that she and Viv have enough wit and charisma to pull off a comedy night about accounting if they wanted to. As it is though, they've chosen their own past failures and those of their fellow comedians to bring the laughs. Humility too, eh? The Bitches.
Featuring: James Mullinger (writer, stand up) Wendy Wason (comedian, writer, actress) Sara Barron (writer, comedian, host of The Moth Storyslam) & MORE to be announced!
This chat show-slash-therapy session features our best comedians and raconteurs talking about the worst experiences of their lives. Stage deaths, hecklers from hell, the moments when you dry and your mind goes completely blank, the time when you drank more than you should have done (or worse), the time when you really lost it, the fight that broke out in that basement dungeon in Croydon It's all here. This is a seat-of-the-pants, wart-and-all peak behind the stage curtains about what it's really like to be up there in the glare of the lights, dying on your arse in front of everyone.
The Night I Died- Don't fear the heckles, fear the SILENCE.
