A unique, cutting-edge dance installation that invites members of the public to wear a robotic exoskeleton which will move their body in a precise choreography.

Friday 17 - Sunday 19 April, various times.

Devised by New Movement Collective with collaborators Kai Lab, Visualpilots and FENYCE Workspace, Project XO explores themes of power, agency and empathy. This performance is a 3-way interaction between participant, performer and technology. The robotic suit both subdues and empowers the wearer, as we watch this haunting interaction and wonder about who the ambiguous ‘creator’ behind the movement is. With lighting by Guy Hoare and music by Högni (Erased Tapes), Project XO is an immersive embodied experience and an unusual spectacle.

You can take part as a participant wearing the robotic suit or as an audience member by watching the interaction in the intimate setting of our dance studio.
