Hunt & Darton’s fully interactive Christmas Dinner this December will fuse festive merry-making with interactive live art!
Following the success of the Hunt & Darton Café, this ‘pop-up establishment of disarming eccentricity’ (The Guardian) is back for a Christmas collaboration with Rowan Arts between 4th - 12th December, 2013.
This is a fully interactive live performance dinner offering an alternative to the inevitable office Christmas Dinner. Forget dry turkey and relying on your colleagues and friends to provide the entertainment. This filling Art feast offers a little more than just soggy brussel sprouts and a novelty drink with a holly garnish that keeps poking you in the face.
With Hunt & Darton as your hosts, enjoy festive delicacies with an H&D twist such as Jelly-Baby Jesus and Roast Turkey sandwiches. All served amid homemade decorations and a ‘charity shop and cardboard’ aesthetic landing just the right side of kitsch. There will be performances throughout the dinner, confessions of excess and festive failures and the chance to play your part in a surrealist nativity play.
Of course no Christmas Dinner would be complete without an appearance from Saint Nick himself played by a starry cast of Special Guest Performance Artists including Scottee, Figs in Wigs, Bobby Baker and Richard DeDomenici Open to individual or group bookings and a great alternative to the conventional office Christmas party.
