The Greenheart Project are building their first prototype low-cost, zero-emission cargo ship and they need you!
Muster! Muster! All hands on deck!
The Greenheart project is in the final stages of building their first prototype sail cargo ship and they need YOU! Greenheart project is developing small scale sail cargo ships to decentralise shipping and empower communities in fossil fuel free trading.
The project concept originated in the pacific islands who are oil dependent for imports but at the front line of climate change. The prototype ship has commenced building in a Bangladeshi shipyard. The yard has just finished renovating Rainbow Warrior 2 into a hospital ship and is now building the Greenheart Sail Cargo Ship. Once built the ship will tour the globe show casing the concept to coastal communities. The ship design is open source, cheap, adaptable so hopefully rapidly spreadable!
Join them aboard the Cultural Ark that is the MV Stubnitz, moored midst the towers of Canary wharf to enjoy fine refreshments and nibbles, to vision the sea change underway in shipping.
