A weekend of installations, talks and events presenting and challenging ideas about the possibilities of the future.
This year, the festival is split into four different themes: Love, which looks at the potential effects on love as we further integrate with technology; Work, examining the changing face of the workplace as computers take over; Play, addressing issues in creativity and gaming of the future; and Thrive, exploring the tech, food and health innovations around the corner.
The line-up of speakers includes inventor of ambient music Brian Eno; journalist, broadcaster and author Will Self; prolific multimedia and stadium tour designer Es Devlin; plus many more.
At the heart of the festival’s ethos is not just a desire to present the innovations just around the corner, but also the will to actively engage with them. This is a chance to experience the future – and to shape it.
