Fly Girls Make Noise (FGMN) is the next event to be curated by The Something Girls Club for Black Herstory Month.
Building upon the successes of ‘Seizing the Screen’ and ‘Pandora’s Box;’ we bring you a live film, visual arts and music extravaganza for creatives involved, influenced or inspired by Bass Culture & Sounds.
The event will be hosted by the majestical LyricL, with live music from Yarah Bravo, Roxxxan, Let Drum Beat plus spoken word poetry by Warsan Shire. Not forgetting DJ sets by Orsii of Laid Back Radio and Anarkali ‘Sweetie’ Elektra of ‘Rootikal’ and NTS Radio. On the night they will be screening documentaries, shorts and visual projections, there will also be brands selling and promoting their work as well as cakes, bakes and treats for all the sugar fiends out there.
The Something Girls Club is a social action project started in July 2011 by Janine Francois, committed to creating events that showcase a diverse representation of women within the creative arts
