Artist Sofia Niazi invites you to create your own zine exploring fact and falsehood.

Explore how there is a growing distrust for mainstream news, through  subverting formal newspaper conventions and employing more DIY-style zine formats.

You will work with news stories and facts in order to explore and interrogate ideas surrounding ‘the truth’. You’ll choose one story from a range of printed articles and statistics exploring tabloid news, and be prompted to re-communicate this knowledge using your own creativity and imagination. The workshop will look at image and text, turning photos from articles into illustrations/collages and employing hand drawn typography or cutting and pasting text.
