A vital and experimental exhibition and programme of events dealing with creativity’s role in the digital age, and the digital age’s influence on creativity.
MV Works is run by Makerversity, based out of Somerset House, which aims to provide opportunities and infrastructure to, well, make stuff. Their focus is on innovation through creativity, regardless of industry. MV Works is a testament to that ethos, comprising an exhibition, workshops, talks and other events. Expect 3D printed masterpieces, virtual reality dance demonstrations, and creative coding workshops – and a whole lot more.
It’s not necessarily the outcome that’s important here, but the processes involved in order to arrive there. The aim is to interrogate how creators can interact with their tools and their technology, and how these relationships between artists and their items can be developed and nurtured. It’s a festival that gets you excited about the amazing things young creators are capable of.
MV WORKS PARTICIPANTS: Becca Rose, Common Works, Lawrence Lek, Liam Donovan, Liz Ciokajlo, Matthew Plummer-Fernandez, Mayku, Tom Armitage & Richard Birkin, and Harry Sanderson.
