A five day festival celebrating Europe's thriving internet industry and community with an array on fantastic web-focused events taking place throughout London.
Internet Week began in New York City in 2008. In 2010, it comes to Europe for the first time, with a five-day calendar of web-focused events taking place throughout London. The idea is to raise the profile of Europe's digital industry, as well as the companies and organisations who participate. Event backers include all the right people such as Tweetdeck, The Guardian, Moo.com, Google, BBC, WPP Digital, TechHub, Channel 4 and Peguin/Pearson as well as flagship sponsor Yahoo!. These companies will put together events during 8th-12th November 2010 like conferences, technology demos, panel discussions, educational programming and meet-ups and parties.
But the that fantastic thing is that you to can get involved by syncing anything you are doing with the week. Any organisation can participate in Internet Week Europe. There is no fee.
All participants can add their event to the official calendar at no cost, and will even have their events showcased and promoted as an Internet Week Europe Official Event Partner. Pretty cool, eh?
