With over 450 different events planned for HowTheLightGetsIn 2013 including debates, talks and screenings alongside a heady programme of live performances and a number of new venues on site, HowTheLightGetsIn 2013 promises to be a sublime start to the summer.

Festival Live tickets give you access to all live & night sessions including bands, DJs, comedians and parties. The line-up includes glam-folk superstar King Charles, hot tip for this year's Mercury Prize Sam Lee,(read our interview with him here.) New York's 'mind blowing' punk rock maverick Jeffrey Lewis (NME) and BRIT Award nominee Nerina Pallot, Coco's Lovers and The Correspondents.

Philosophy talks include: At the world's Edge- Fantasy tales are often seen as a peripheral part of culture, with little to contribute to our lives other than throw-away entertainment. Is this an error? Might fantasies be central to how we perceive the world, and even gesture towards the limits of our understanding? Mary Ann Sieghart asks philosopher Terry Eagleton and eminent novelists AS Byatt and Terry Pratchett to explore reality’s edge. On the 2nd June
