This afternoon of richly illustrated talks and special screenings explores the ways in which Gothic cinema costumes its monsters, heroes and victims (and those in between), but also the ways this Gothic style has spilled out into real life, in the form of vibrant Goth subcultures at one end of the spectrum, and the high fashion of designers like Alexander McQueen on the other. With presentations from Amber Jane Butchart, Catherine Spooner, Royce Mahawatte and Maria Mellins, plus an exciting preview of a film to be featured in the forthcoming Blitz Kids season.
