This Lab will introduce key development techniques to help you understand the application of technologies that extend the reach, further engagement and increase accessibility of an artist’s project; ultimately, enriching your curatorial practice, commissioning or events programme without moving impetus away from artistic rigour.

The event will start with an overview of emerging technologies by innovation consultant Abhay Adhikari. Forma will then introduce you to artists of interest and give insight in to how emerging technologies can be employed to inspire and further artistic outcomes, without shifting focus from an artist's intentions. Leading sensory design consultant Alastair Somerville will lead a short workshop to illustrate how simple changes in approach and perception can radically affect the accessibility of artistic outcomes.
