The Slits’ Viv Albertine and England’s Dreaming John Savage join The British Library for a night of conversations centered around punk.

This Faber Social event will be held in the Entrance Hall of the British Library, as two of the most important names in the punk scene sit down to discuss one of the most influential cultural movements of modern times.

Viv Albertine, guitarist of The Slits and author of Clothes, Clothes, Clothes. Music, Music, Music. Boys, Boys, Boys and Jon Savage, author of the ever-influential England’s Dreaming, will be in conversation with Kate Mossman, arts editor of the New Statesman, offering their unique takes on an era that went on to inspire untold generations of artists, musicians and rebels.

The talk includes an out-of-hours viewing of the Punk 1976-78 exhibition, plus music from the Clash’s tour DJ, Scratchy, a bookstall and a bar.
