Find out what your lunch says about you at an event featuring panellists Rosie Lovell, Tom Viney, Richard Benson and Miranda Sawyer.
Working in partnership with London-based cultural consultancy Bug, What your lunch says about you will take place next week at the House of St Barnabas, the Soho-based charity working to get those affected by homelessness back into sustained employment.
The second event in their 37 Things You Need to Know About Modern Britain series, which offers fresh and insightful viewpoints on popular culture, the event will bring together panellists Rosie Lovell (founder of Rosie's Deli Cafe and author of Spooning with Rosie and Supper with Rosie), Special Request magazine founder Tom Viney and bestselling author Richard Benson. It will be chaired by award-winning journalist Miranda Sawyer.
Food used to be something you ate. Now it's a status symbol – fetishised and instagrammed and literally drooled over. With the rise of the foodie, the emergence of the chef as superstar DJ, the explosion in street food, the problems with cupcakes and the Brits judging each others lunchtime sandwich, Bug's kitchen cabinet explain why we eat what we do and why we aren't what we eat.
