Learn about the library, explore some of the women poets in the collection, and share the poems that have touched you; either ones you have brought along, or those you discover on your visit.
The Poetry Library is the most comprehensive collection of modern poetry in the UK. Among its treasures are the book collection of Valentine Ackland, donated by her partner Sylvia Townsend Warner, as well as pamphlets, magazines, recordings, and press cuttings on the many women poets writing in the twentieth century and today.
Spaces are strictly limited, so if you want to bagsy your space, please email jane@forbookssake.net to reserve a place, and they'll email you back to confirm you're on our list.
If you would like to join the library on the day, please bring a proof of address such as a recent utilities bill, bank statement, or driver's licence.
