Salon for the City - the series that takes a look at London through a very different lens.

From Suzette Field: "For a cornucopia of capital curiosities, Antique Beat runs the Salon for the City at the Westminster Reference Library. The subject is always London and their topics this year range from London Sewers to the lost hospitals of the metropolis."

Hendricks lubricate the library each month with a specially prepared cocktail of that most London of liquors: Gin.

The salons are curated by The Clerkenwell Kid and Rossella Black. They usually take the form of two illustrated talks by invited speakers in the fields of history, the arts, business, fashion and culture. The talks are followed by a joint Q&A and conversation. They also have the occasional performance, themed interviews and films.

There is time to mingle, converse and browse the amazing collection of the Library in the company of other London lovers and to bag yourself a few beautiful things from the pop-up shop.
