7:30 & 9:30. Tackling some fantastically bizarre topics, Key's deadpan humour, short, colloquial vignettes of modern life and athletic clambering make for some beautifully chaotic stand-up comedy.
Edinburgh Comedy Award Winner and Time Out Comedy Performer of the Year - Tim Key serves up a confused procession of idiosyncratic poetry and prose. Brittle poems, inspired lists and loony set-pieces are cobbled together into a precarious, highly inventive performance, whilst wearing wearing a suit and drinking lager for an hour or so.
Key (smart) is the swarthy bard from Charlie Brooker's Newswipe (BBC4) and the pretty question master from We Need Answers (BBC4).

Q: For Key's latest project, he has teamed up with a string quartet to create an album - on vinyl - of his poetry, set to music. And it was all recorded on a boat. It is therefore not surprising that the album, which has just been released, is called 'Tim Key. With a String Quartet. On a Boat.' But why did he want to add a string quartet? (Roughly in his own words)
A: 1) Because it's statistically unlikely he'll get the woman of his dreams who appears on television .2) To add a bit of majesty to the squalid poetry .3) To see the effects of music on ducks .4) The challenge of multi-tasking. Fishing, music and poetry
