An Oxjam event for fantastic folk artists, and fantastic folk. Come on down and take a bite out of poverty's knee caps!
P A G O A for short....is a music event for the amazing Charity, Oxfam.
Phil and Garth are close friends of 6 years and counting. Their friendship consists of dynamic threads of social inclusion to which music and good morals are highly inclusive (They also enjoy talking dirty to wildlife and high street bargains).
Their aim is to put on an event which will be enjoyed by everyone involved-raising much needed funds to help and maintain support for people who live in extreme circumstances. Here here!
Message To Bears
Oxford's premiere ambient folker.
Nancy Wallace
"Long respected as one of the purest voices on the folk circuit, this recording, like her live work, fashions an amazing intimacy with her listener. A substantial debut. (****)" Mojo magazine
Laura J Martin
“the world’s finest flute wielding, piano playing, mandolin toting singer-songwriter” The Big Chill Festival
The Cedars
"...this choice cut from a thoroughly juicy selection serves as a splendid introduction to a band currently at the forefront of the UK’s alt.country scene..." R2 Magazine (Rock n Reel)
A-Line
Live we want to tickle your chins and space you out, on record we want to transport you. A-Line sounds like: a mini Georgian choir; dogs running over snow; the music played on a space ship as it prepares to dock into a small utopian community in a geodesic dome on a planet far away.
Sam Beer
Beer's music carries a depth of sincerity and compassion, delivered by his impressive musicianship and unmistakeable voice.
Jane Weaver
Femme folk influenced by Eastern European childrens cinema, Germanic kunstmärchen, 70's television music and early murmers of 80's synth-pop!
