Maybe you've seen Marques perform on Jools Holland or on the festival circuit this summer,or maybe you haven't heard of him at all, but you can be sure you'll be seeing lots more of him in the future.I could go on about how dreamy he is for ages,but I suppose you want to hear some actual facts, so here you go.

Originally hailing from Florida, Marques Toliver is a 24 year-old classically trained musician and vocalist.  His childhood was soundtracked by Marvin Gaye and Stevie Wonder, and teenage years divided as much between classical music as Destiny’s Child.  Marques arrived in London via New York in 2009, the latest stop on a road lined with collaborations, recommendations and friendships forged with Adele, TV on the Radio, Grizzly Bear, Bat For Lashes and Holly Miranda. He recently made his television debut on ‘Later With Jools Holland’ and his first EP ‘Butterflies Are Not Free’ is out now on Bella Union
