It's pretty much the gig of the year if you like your stuff somewhat heavy, electronic or experimental.

GDLI is taking over both rooms of Corsica Studio's on the 20th of October for possibly the biggest gig I've done so far!

Featuring some of my favorite bands making forward thinking experimental music. It's going to be LOUD, it's going to BIG. YAY!

Headlining we have:
...
Drum Eyes:

A Herculean force of instrumental electronic post-rock that weaves in and out of genres regardless of forms, order or blueprints. The sludge rock of ‘13 Magicians’ is only outdone by the baroque synths dancing fleetingly around doom riffs and metal onslaughts on ‘Future Police’, paralleled only by the marvel of space-rock anthem ‘50-50’. An epic record with endless possibility.

Nedry:

Nedry are one of the best bands I've seen live in the last year. Their debut album condors is utterly amazing. Think Bjork, dubstep & postrock combined into one beautiful whole.

Rocketnumber9:

Featuring brothers Benjamin and Tom Page they are making some of the most interesting Kraut influenced music you will see this side of Drum Eyes!

With an upcoming release on Four Tet's label with Remix you will be hearing a lot of them soon!

Okay, I'll tell you what, I don't fancy writing out all these descriptions on every band!!

However in the 2nd room we have Becoming Real who are the most exciting electronic act in the country for me, Devil Man which is DJ Scotch Egg plus Gorgonn making some massively bass heavy dub and Husband who is over from Italy for his first ever show here and the two songs I have heard from him are two of the best songs I've heard this year!

The gig is at Corsica Studio's in Elephant & Castle just named best small club in the country by IDJ Mag. It's got one of the best soundsystems in the country, booze isn't expensive and atmosphere and crowd is always spot on.

Bands will be done by latest half 11 for people who need to get to work the next day. (most folks!)
