Set in the urban wastelands of Cheshire, not far from where Walsh grew up, the film follows teenager Shelly, a survivor determined to overcome her background of deprivation and abuse.

Electrifyingly portrayed by Lauren McQueen, Shelly is drawn into manipulative relationships that threaten to force her to lose what little control of her life she has. This will be the London Premiere screening of The Violators.

This searing drama from novelist Helen Walsh marks her startling debut as a filmmaker.
