Hampstead UK Jewish Film Festival and the Freud Museum London proudly present MAHLER ON THE COUCH -premiere of the widely acclaimed independent film directed by Percy and Felix Adlon.

 Alma Mahler's affair with the young architect Walter Gropius sets in motion a marital drama that forces her husband Gustav Mahler to seek advice from Sigmund Freud. The film will be followed by a short talk by Gavin Plumley on Representations of Music and Psychoanalysis on Screen. Gavin Plumley has written, broadcast and lectured widely about many aspects of music and Central European culture.
