Shiver my timbers! Somerset House finishes its fantastic Summer Screen series with some swarthy-faced swashbuckling courtesy of Russell Crowe in Master & Commander.

Master And Commander is based on the first and tenth books of Patrick O'Brian's 20-volume series. Director Peter Weir and his special effects team have done wonders with the battle sequences, which are terrifying, tense and evocative. A blockbuster not aimed at 15-year-old boys, this is a powerfully told, passionately crafted naval adventure.

Tasty food is available to buy on site from 18.30, there is also a fully-licensed bar and coffee point. You are also welcome to bring your own food, but SH regrets that no glass or cans are allowed into the courtyard. Plastic containers are permitted.

What should I bring?
There is no fixed seating in the courtyard. You are welcome to bring an array of comfy things to sit on, just not chairs or portable furniture (inflatable or otherwise). Rugs will also be available to buy at £15.
