Curzon Enthusiasm celebrates the 50th anniversary of the UK release of Michelangelo Antonioni's Blow-Up with a special screening of the film on 35mm.

Following his great trilogy of L'Avventura, L'Eclisse, La Notte and the fog-drenched Red Desert, Blow-Up is Antonioni's foray into English language film. It is a vivd document of '60s swinging London, featuring Vanessa Redgrave in a breakthrough role, plus Sarah Miles, Jane Birkin and the Yardbirds.

What the Guardian said of Blow Up in 1967: “I always liked to think that even the worst film by Antonioni would be better than the best by almost any other director. Now I know that this is so, because I’ve just seen his worst film, and I was right: Blow-up (London Pavilion), starts tomorrow, is still an absolute must, such is the degree of visual and intellectual excitement of the film."
