Douglas Slocombe’s elegant camerawork enhances the loveliness of the sets and accentuates the performance of Sharon Tate, while Komeda’s fine score comes into its own during an expertly-staged ball sequence. Alfie Bass is just one of a host of iconic 60s faces to grace the film.
