Like a giant construction-kit, Folly For A Flyover transforms the undercroft of a flyover on the A12 into a canalside venue for cinema. Tonight's cinematic treat will be 'a-ah' Flash Gordon!
A building has appeared in the gap between the east and westbound traffic of the A12. Transforming the cavernous undercroft where the motorway crosses the Lea Navigation Canal. Welcome to Folly For A Flyover, the pop-up venue hosting a programme of waterside cinema, performance and play.
Tonight, Folly For A Flyover will play ringmaster to the finest 80s intergalactic kitsch superhero in history - Flash Gordon, featururing Sam J. Jones as the Saviour of the Universe and a screaming Brian Blessed, with a soundtrack by Queen and a flash-tastic light show by LZRDM.
