After the success of Darren Ellis’ last Rough Cut, After Effects, DanceEast's Associate Artist returns to the Jerwood DanceHouse to develop this new work.

In Long Walk Home Darren will be creating a series of individual portraits of four very different women, each at a different stage in their life. Delve into the hopes and dreams of four outstanding female dancers: from a student at the DanceEast Academy, to a mature performer looking back over decades of experience. The cast includes Jo Wenger (ex Richard Alston) and Lauren Potter (London Contemporary Dance Theatre, Siobhan Davies, dv8).

In 2009/10 Darren led DanceEast’s long-standing education project Boys in Babergh.
