A series of atmospheric photographs by James Ostrer of San Francisco Ballet’s principal dancer Maria Kochetkova dressed in Merchant Archive’s vintage clothing.

The exhibition celebrates her appearance with the ballet at Sadler’s Wells, 14-23 September.

James's work has become better known since showing alongside that of Anish Kapoor and Michael Howells in the Emma Thompson-curated touring exhibition Journey, while his 2010 portrait of Nicky Haslam was nominated as curator's choice at the National Portrait Gallery.
