Inclusive dance on an unprecedented scale, reflecting the Olympic and Paralympic Values.
Marc Brew and Claire Cunningham, two disabled choreographers, have each made a large dance piece for Candoco Dance Company’s international company of 12 disabled and non-disabled dancers. Invited guest dancers from Beijing and Rio de Janeiro join Candoco's own dancers reflecting the inclusive values of the Olympic and Paralympic Games, linking previous, current and future Host Cities and celebrating the diversity of London as host in 2012.
These performances showcase the artistry of some of the leading disabled artists working in contemporary dance today, offering inclusive dance performance of an unprecedented ambition and scale.
Candoco Dance Company is the contemporary dance company of disabled and non-disabled dancers. For more than 20 years Candoco has led the way in producing and presenting high-quality, innovative works by disabled and non-disabled dancers. It creates excellent and profound experiences for audiences and participants that excite, change and broaden perceptions of art and ability.
