Alexander Whitley and digital artist Memo Akten join forces at the cutting edge of dance and motion-responsive technology in this new production.
How do we remember in the digital age?
Opening up questions about learning and memory in relation to artificial intelligence, Pattern Recognition furthers a line of enquiry drawing on Whitley’s interests in philosophy, technology and design which seeks to redefine the boundaries between dance and other art forms. A former Choreographic Affiliate of The Royal Ballet and recently commissioned by Rambert, BalletBoyz and Birmingham Royal Ballet, Whitley has developed a rapidly-growing reputation for ambitious and intricately-crafted work.
