Making It Up As We Go Along

What happens to queer club kids and their mates when they grow up? Well if they're anything like this week's Guest Editor Simon Casson, they keep throwing parties - but this time the doors are open to more people than ever before - as always, we're all invited!

If you're suffering from nausea of the taste-the-rainbow white cis scene variety then welcome to the world of Duckie, a collective that understands the transformative power of performance and parties to empower marginalised groups. In his interview, Simon tells writer Ben Walters how Duckie has evolved over the last 21-years and what to expect from their 'Las Vegas in Lambeth' themed birthday party on Saturday 3 December. Expect a stellar line-up including London's very own Night Czar Amy Lamé!

Elsewhere around town you can find a wide variety of alternative queer celebrations so there's no excuse to find yourself standing in G-A-Y screaming along to Mariah Carey... unless you just got dumped and you really, really want to. Check out our magazine for a crowdfunder for some affirmative action about Brexit and remember to ally yourself with as many brilliant, bizarre and brave people as possible.

Here's to wishing you a fruity week dear Players! Bottoms up! RR xx
