Join Rumpus for their latest fantasy role-play extravaganza. Basically a cross between your favourite apocalypse movie and video game brought to life.

The Apocalypse came. The ice caps melted and the oceans rose. Less land meant less food, more hunger meant more strife and chaos and conflict. The last few Human survivors gather in London, waiting for salvation.

Amongst those survivors a deadly plague has erupted. Skurvy, which first covers the infected in purple spots, then leads to madness and then to an infectious death. Sailing the oceans is MS Stubnitz, the last bastion of order, picking up survivors to join its motley population.

The ship is run by the Crew, fearsome and salty seadogs with a fearsome reputation that is shrouded in mystery. Before coming aboard everyone must be screened for Skurvy. Aboard Stubnitz is The Professor, humanity’s last scientist, desperately searching for a cure for Skurvy – something he calls Vitamin Beats.

The pursuit of Science requires sacrifices, and the infected may have to be experimented upon. As humanity drowns, ancient Creatures rise from the depths to claim the world as theirs. Lead by a Triumvirate of Mermaids, these creatures are poised to be Earth’s new rulers. Some whisper that the Mermaids have unleashed this curse upon the last dregs of humanity. Some claim that the Mermaids have even infected the Captain of Stubnitz. The Mermaids claim to have a cure but none trusts them enough to listen.

You are invited to Join Rumpus aboard MS Stubnitz on March 2nd, as it stops off to pick up the very last human survivors on the planet. Choose your character, and join the story as it unfolds during the day.

Are you a: Member of the Crew: Running the ship, the Crew’s origins are mysterious, and so are their intentions. Why are you picking up Humans, and where are you taking them? Why has no one seen the Captain? Are you actually serving the Mermaids?

Sea Creature: With humanity on the way out, the denizens of the deep have risen from their ancient lairs. Some walk on two legs, some swim with myriad tentacles, some are monstrous, others entrancingly beautiful. Do you harbour a deep hatred for the Humans who for so long poisoned your oceans? Are Humans just a meal to you? Alongside an unfolding narrative, Rumpus will be laying on a smorgasbord of musical entertainment to keep your feet dancing.
