The How honors British subculture. The How is how it happens. This is how we dance, how we dress, this is Modern Life. From 60's Northern Soul to Dubstep of now.
We dropped Margot Bowman (one half of The How duo) a swift email, asking her to reply within 60 seconds. Being a snappy tapper on her smart phone thingy, she buzzed us back with in 43 seconds. Sharp!
How long have you been doing The How?
Me (Margot Bowman) and Bip have been doing it for about 1 year.
Why did you set it up?
Because nowhere in Shoreditch played northern soul and ska and we thought it was the best kind of music to end your week to!
Who’s behind it?
Margot Bowman and Bip Ling (click for the juicy stuff).
Booze or pills?
Booze
Dress code?
Mod / modern - top buttons really should be done up.
Who goes?
Amazing people! Art people, some fashion people and some MacBeth people, but generally people who want to end their week on a good vibe.
What’s the anticipated ‘journey’ for the night of the 12th?
It's really wicked cos the first half of the night is really lovely and social and our amazing DJ Ital Sounds plays Northern Soul & ska and then after midnight Bip Ling & Rushmore are going to play modern tunes, so you can get pissed and dance with all the new friends you've made. Basically its like the perfect house party but at the MacBeth.
