An evening of dark electronic experimentalism from some of music’s finest innovators, as part of this year’s Convergence festival.
Actress is one of electronic music’s most idiosyncratic modern voices. Taking an oddball approach to production, he sculpts dystopian structures out of fever-dreamy bass and misty textures. It’s a scary world that you want to stay lost in.
He’s joined by Randomer, presenting his adventures through rhythm and bass, as well as musical polymath Mica Levi who, fresh off her Oscar nomination for her score to Jackie, showcases her talents as a DJ. Rounding off the bill is Raime, finding unlikely resonances between electroacoustic composition, post-hardcore and grime, fiercely spliced to visuals.
