Social Networks (make me feel shit sometimes)
Our favourite cabaret duo Bourgeois and Maurice have released a video for their track' social networks'- it even features a Run-Riot cameo on their twitter page!
We went to the press night for B&M's new show Sugartits at Soho Theatre last week. Then we paid real money like normal folk and went again this week. That's how good it is. They team pop tunes catchier than an STD with lyrics that get to the heart of complex social issues like racism, disability, privacy (it's for paedos), gobal warming (change is good!) and the eroticisation of tax (phwoar.)
In an ironic gesture that perfectly embodies the spirit of Bourgeois and Maurice, they're asking you to share their video for Social Networks (make me feel shit sometimes) on your facebook and twitter.
Who else would perform sporting a skintight Vladimir Putin onesie? Georgois Bourgeois may steal much of the limelight throughout the show, but it's his 'sister' Maurice's straight-faced, understated comedy that had us in stitches- her Michael Macintyre spoof was particularly amusing last night when the comic himself happened to be performing upstairs at the same venue.
Their poignant encore number is a perfect example of how they manage to sneak glimpses of their real personalities into their comedy. We only hope that before they're next summoned to Soho Theatre, they manage to find true love's kiss- and not f*ck it up.
You can catch Sugartits until 21st September at Soho Theatre.
