Workshop: TripTic Improvisation

SAT 25th April 2015  |  8 p.m.-11 p.m.  |  £10

Curated by the Trip The Light Team: a tryptic of improvisations sprouting from different artistic backgrounds and meeting in the same playground. A celebration of the techniques of improvisation. Join us and our invited artists into the unchartered worlds that improvisation creates.

April's Programme promises to be physical and playful yet with sophistication: bringing together sound, illustration and dance.

MESSY SAM

Are studying with Rick Nodine. They work intensively on exploring different ways and tools to improvise as a group using movement, voice and text. Playing with states, space and relationship the present to you instantly composed performances where anything goes...

THE JUNK ORCHESTRA

Using objects and found sounds, The Junk Orchestra takes on many forms. TripTic welcomes back a collaboration with founder Saul Eisenberg and Guest Giles Leaman. Their ever expanding array of recovered and re-invented sonic delights will soundscape the evening with both duo performances and artist collaborations.

CRISTINA GUITIAN

Cristina Guitian is an illustrator living and working in London. Guitian’s distinct style of hand-drawn characters and typography creates surreal worlds filled with hybrid creatures and visual metaphors. Inspired by the notion of the impossible, she explores memories, the present and the infinite. While the core of her practice is drawing, Guitian works across many mediums, including murals, sculpture and mixed-media installation

Please be aware this one will be a shoe free event, bring your best and warm socks.
