The UK’s leading environmental film festival, requires a Festival Assistant to help in the build up to the fourth annual UK Green Film Festival in June 2014
The chosen candidate will play a key role in supporting the UK Green Film Festival management team and will gain experience as a festival assistant, as well as having an active role in the online promotion of the festival. Duties will include updating social media websites, liaising with cinema partners and film distributors, organising film deliveries, distributing promotional materials and other planning and administrative tasks as set by the Festival Manager, Director and Co-ordinator.
Required skills:
Active knowledge of and interest in social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter etc.)
Committed, enthusiastic and hard working
Able to work from home and under own initiative
Based in London
Passionate about film
Environmentally aware or willing to develop an interest in environmental issues
Basic computer skills (MS Office etc.)
An understanding of event promotion
Good telephone and e-mail manner
Willing to fulfill general runner duties
The UK Green Film festival is a non-profit organisation, this is a part-time, travel expenses paid, volunteer position. The successful candidate will be expected to work independently, from home and in the office, and be available for meetings during agreed work hours.
