Run-Riot 3-month Internship
The role will suit anyone wanting to develop their professional expertise in digital publishing, marketing & PR, or journalism. Reporting to Run-Riot's Director, Editor, and Social Media Manager this role will require the candidate to work across multiple tasks at our busy Culture bureau. The successful candidate will receive career-building introductions to relevant key-professionals, along with receiving access to numerous cultural events taking place across the capital. This is not a paid internship. Basic expenses are covered. The Internship is for 3-months only. You will work from our Culture bureau at the Village Underground, Shoreditch (pictured below).
Requirements:
- you are London based
- you have a laptop with with MS Office (required), Adobe Photoshop (required), and Dreamweaver (not essential)
- you are available during the stated working hours and dates
You Are:
- passionate, networked, and ambitious
- excellent with written and verbal communication skills
- competent with basic CSM
- competent with basic Photoshop skills
- confident with social media
- very well organised, motivated, independent and a quick learner
- passionate about the creative industries
Role:
- writing content and uploading onto website (listings, notices, editorial)
- sub-editing content (newsletter, listings, editorial)
- picture editing
- conducting Q+A interviews (editorial)
- compiling weekly competition questions
- working on the weekly newsletter
- generating stat reports for both client and in-house requirements
- developing our social media networks
- supporting the Director, Editor and Social Media Manager with a range of tasks
Hours and Office:
- Duration: 3-months, 4 Feb - 26 April 2013
- Working Hours: 2-days per week, Mondays and Fridays, 10am-6pm.
- Location: Run-Riot Culture bureau, Platform 1, Village Underground, Shoreditch.
Expenses:
- Central London travel expenses will be covered, plus lunch on your working days.
- When available, you will have access to the RR Hot Desk for your own use, in addition to your agreed working hours.
- You will receive regular invites to select London based events
