Handviews was inspired by the Eastern ritual 'mudras', which are bodily gestures usually formed with the hands and fingers, that underpin much of hindu and buddhist iconography, yoga, meditation and dance. Each area of the hand has a reflex reaction in a specific part of the brain. A mudra locks and guides energy flow and reflexes to the brain.
A mudra can be any handshape that has an intention, therefore anyone can make a mudra as long as there is an intention behind its form. We could say Handviews are like contemporary mudras through which anyone can express a personal view in an universal way."
