LIFT is searching for their next Chair of Trustees

LIFT is looking for a Chair to succeed their current Chair, Bernard Donoghue, who steps down in November 2020 after what will then be 10 years of inspired and energetic leadership. The new Chair will join the newly formed leadership duo of Artistic Director & CEO Kris Nelson and Executive Director Stella Kanu, a dynamic and engaged team of staff, and an exceptional, dedicated and loyal Board of Trustees in launching LIFT into its next artistic chapter.

Here's what they have to say:

Every two years, we present a festival which connects London audiences with leading international artists, brave ideas and unforgettable cultural experiences. We bring audiences to the city’s most iconic venues, landmarks and unusual corners, celebrating the character of London and gathering Londoners around incredible art.

The Chair is pivotal in creating the conditions for the overall effectiveness of LIFT, both inside and outside the boardroom. Internally you will lead the management of meetings, set the tone of board communication and provide key support to the Executive Team. Externally, you will be LIFT’s champion and advocate, building on our reputation, amplifying our key messages and articulating the value and relevance of LIFT to others.

You might have previous experience as a Chair or Vice Chair of an arts, cultural organisation or other not-for-profit. We are looking for someone with an interest in arts and culture or festival sector. Above all you will be both visionary and strategic with a global perspective and an engaging and collaborative leadership style.

A full role description, person specification and further information about LIFT can be found in the Recruitment Pack. Details of how to apply can be found on Page 6 of the pack. Applications are due Friday 27 March 2020.
