Kickstarter: Brothers In Law by Pajama Men

Scott's weekly newspaper is failing so badly he's forced to run operations out of his own home. Can his criminal brother in law help him make his business work? No.

Its Arrested Development meets Bob's Burgers with the mysterious slant of Twin Peaks.

The Pajama Men are joined by a carefully selected gang of comic geniuses in this indy television series about family, extended family, and over extended family.

They are:

Glenn Wool (stand up comedian) 'a masterpiece of comedy.

Gemma Whelan (Character Comic/star of Game Of Thrones)

Ronny Chieng (Stand Up Comedian - Daily Show Correspondent)

Amber Nash (Improv Comic - Voice Of Pam Poovey On Archer)

Andrew Maxwell (Stand Up Comedian)

Dino Archie (Stand up Comedian, Choosy Lover)

Jeff Drew Animator (One Square Mile of Earth)

Ryan Elder Composer (animated series Rick And Morty).

For the past 10 years, cult live double act the Pajama Men (Shenoah Allen and Mark Chavez) have been considered one of the most innovative, exciting and influential sketch acts working in live comedy. Having racked up numerous awards in the North America, The UK and Australia, and enough five star reviews to fill a small galaxy, they have been heralded time and time again as a masterclass in sketch and character comedy.

In 2010 Pajama Men were commissioned by Big Talk (Shaun of the Dead/Hot Fuzz) to write a television show based on their live work. It was to be directed by Paul King – (Director Mighty Boosh/Paddington).

2011 saw Pajama Men commissioned to write a screenplay by Ridley Scott’s company Scott Free, again with director Paul King attached.

2012 the BBC commissioned the Pajama Men to write two episodes of a series based on their live work.

In 2013 HBO commissioned them to write a television pilot, this time with director James Bobin (Flight of the Conchords/The Muppets).

In the end these shows never made it to the screen. The experience of creating these scripts with some of the most respected individuals in the industry was incredibly insightful and educational, but even the best scripts are just words on a page until somebody gives them the green light.

So the Pajama Men thought, “Hey, let's give ourselves the green light!”

They've decided to take their years of cultivated unique talent, team up with a host of genius performers and artists, appeal to you for support, and make the show themselves.

And so the Pajama Men have written the first three episodes of an independent television series they will to shoot in February 2016.
