Pacitti Company is looking for a SPILL Volunteer Coordinator to lead on the engagement, recruitment and management of volunteer support for the upcoming SPILL Festival of Performance in London, 28 October – 8 November 2015.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

• Ability to communicate and interact effectively with a variety of individuals both within an office environment and elsewhere.

• A thorough knowledge of a range of software packages including Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint, use of databases and social media including Facebook and Twitter. 

• Passion for contemporary arts/live art/experimental theatre/performance. 

• Ability to work in a pressurised environment where change and evolution is the norm. 

• Understanding of volunteer best practice and have experience working with volunteers. 

• Flexibility to travel within London, and to Ipswich during the preparation period as and when required, and have the ability to be flexible in hours (i.e. work some evenings and weekends during the festival). 

• Experience of working as part of a team. 

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 

• Good numeracy skills and cash handling experience. • Excellent organisational and administrative skills, the ability to prioritise workload and keen attention to detail. 

• Skill with an interest in new technologies. 

• Enthusiastic team-worker but able to work independently. 

• Mature, confident, well-presented and trustworthy. 

• A ‘can-do’ attitude and a sense of humour. 

• Proactive problem solver. 

• Calm, organised and have an eye for detail. 

DESIRABLE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

• Previous experience in a similar role. • Experience of working within a busy festival environment. 

• Knowledge of SPILL Festival / Pacitti Company work 

• Experience of working in a charitable or not for profit organisation. 

• First aid trained, clean driver’s license.
