Hours: Initially up to 8 hours a week, rising to 16 hours per week from 1st April to 10th May. You will also be expected to be available to attend screenings during the festival week (3rd-10th May).

The UK’s leading environmental film festival is looking for a Press & Marketing Manager  to help in the build up to the fifth annual UK Green Film Festival in May 2015.

The national festival runs at cinema venues across 15 cities, screening feature films with the aim to explore the big environmental issues of the day. We’re offering an opportunity for a person with marketing and press experience, preferably in the film sector, to join our team in the build-up to the festival in May 2015.

The successful candidate will have the following skills:

Essential:

• Committed and enthusiastic

• Experience communicating with local & national press outlets

• Experience working on or managing press & marketing campaigns

• Experience writing press releases

• A meticulous approach to writing and communicating in English

• Articulate, with excellent communication skills

• Experience managing or working on social media marketing campaigns

• A keen interest in environmental issues

• Based in London

Non-essential skills include:

• Experience running press campaigns for large scale events

• A keen interest and understanding of film

• Experience working with talent such as directors and actors

• Experience running a nationwide press campaign

The successful candidate will be expected to work independently and and be available for meetings during agreed work hours.
